Step outta that comfort zone

I've been learning so much about the importance of relationships. Relationships with friends, family, and most importantly, God.  So far 2012 has been different for me, I've made it a goal to be intentional in all of my relationships, not just have a lot of "surface" relationships where I really don't get to know the Spirit inside of each person I encounter. Let me just tell you, I have been incredibly blessed on so many levels by those around me just by getting to know them on a deeper, more meaningful level.
Nothing beats an intentional conversation. Sometimes they can be tough, don't get me wrong.. but when you feel like you've been challenged, encouraged, or your knowledge has been stretched - that's when you know that relationship is from the Lord. Pursuing anything half way won't get you very far, but I've learned that when you go into any situation with a willing mind and heart then the Lord will seriously rock you with how faithful He is!
Hebrews 10: 24-25 "and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near."
That verse is so powerful! Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds - we have all been equipped to encourage and be encouraged. Simply loving on others (those you know and don't know) is one of the most powerful gifts we all have been given, whether you think so or not. A year ago I definitely would not have gone out on a limb and be bold in conversations, but through all of the uncomfortable situations in Haiti I know that the Lord is there in everything I do and everything I say, so why hold back?

I encourage you to step out on that limb, get uncomfortable! You will grow and learn so much when you're bold, and trust me I know that it's not easy. Haven't we all heard "practice makes perfect," you have to practice boldness in order to grow in boldness!  Ask that person on your heart to church, to FCA, to lunch or coffee. The Lord will be all over that conversation, just let him do his thing!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far, I can't believe it's already Wednesday! Wow time flies!

Oh and a little PS.. I get to celebrate 10 months with this wonderful person today :) I'm so thankful for this relationship and the encouragement I receive from him every single day!
